So How's Life? 2006
mixed media installation (painting, sculpture, video, audio, collborative text)

Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
Traveling Scholars

So, How's Life? presents possible anecdotal hemispheres of thought, groupings of time, and states of mind, that the artist accumulated while alive. Its intentions are founded in being comfortable in nebulous meaning and not finite absolutism.
The artist is wary of statements or ideas offered as an indisputable neat package. It seems that in the process of being human, humans worried someone might notice they didn't "get it all".  Thus they set up elaborate systems to make it seem as if there were tidy answers. This conundrum  is both frustrating and laughable.
The installation asks others and the creator: "So, How's Life?", trying to assess what is happening and what it means to be human. Rehashing the immaterial and material while trying to have fun and learn.

Bound Together/ Sold Separately 2004
mixed media site specific installation and conversational performance

Limitless pathways link all that is physical and metaphysical. Humans are at once an immense hub of influence and a minuscule blip in this vast network. Through this installation the artist attempts to reconcile what it means to be a contemporary human being.  Interests are focused on how and what our expanding population consumes and how that affects the (natural) environment spiritually and physically. A personal relationship with consumption figures prominently in the expression. Seemingly disparate elements are juxtaposed to search out a new knowledge in an attempt to be a "better" person amidst the ever accumulating totality.
